He completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at UT Health San Antonio followed by specialized training in interventional pulmonology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, giving him expert skills in diagnosing and treating lung nodules, lung cancer, and pleural diseases using advanced bronchoscopic techniques.
