Pulmonary & Critical Care Position

Seeking two Pulmonary & Critical Care Physicians for Texas IPS PLLC to work full-time in San Antonio, Texas to provide critical care medical treatment for patients including evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases in the clinic and in-patient setting. The position also requires that the physician carry out medical care programs specializing in critical care medicine and diseases of the lungs. Further, a Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician examines patients to determine the presence of diseases and establishes preventative health practices, determines the nature and extent of disease, prescribes and administers medication and immunizations, treats new patients, and gives follow-up care for patients.

The duties performed by a Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician also include interviewing new patients, preparing new patients for treatment, preparing an outline for patient treatment and management, preparing and reviewing patient charts.  Pulmonary & Critical Care Physicians also visit, counsel and attend to patients admitted to the hospital on a daily basis, monitor the condition of such patients and recommend potential diagnoses. After patients are discharged, Pulmonary & Critical Care Physicians engage in follow-up activities with such patients, including monitoring their recovery and any developments in their condition after discharge.

Candidates must hold a valid degree in medicine, must have completed three years of medical residency and must have completed or be graduating from a three-year pulmonary & critical care fellowship, must possess an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Texas, and be board certified in pulmonary diseases and board certified or board eligible in critical care medicine.
